Visit Prescott Farm with your family. Drive into the driveway with the “open flag”. Park along the long driveway and get out of your car to enjoy the majestic views of the Belknap Mountain Range and the local lakes.
Feel free to use the rest rooms inside the Samuel P. Pardoe Building. You may also catch an art exhibit in the community room. Purchase a 1/2 pint or 1 pint of Maple Syrup freshly made at the Prescott Farm Sugar House. All proceeds go towards the Prescott Farm programs.
When you and your family are ready to walk, find a trail map in the mailbox outside the Samuel P. Pardoe Building. Choose a trail. Enjoy the fresh mountain air and stroll looking ahead to find the tree with a color marker of the chosen trail. While walking, use your senses to enjoy your surroundings. Look with your eyes to see nature up close, and then look through the trees far away to the lakes and the mountains. Look all around. Open your eyes and look up to find the canopy above you and look down to the ground to explore. Listen with your ears. What do you hear? Smell to bring in the odor of the nature that surrounds you. Touch what you need to touch in a way that does not totally disturb the view for others behind you. and the last sense! use your common sense to explore what is around you to enjoy what nature has to offer you and others.
